When playing SPRINT6GOLF follow the rules of golf as set out by the R&A with the following exceptions:
You must complete each shot in under 30-seconds. Preferably using the free SPRINT6GOLF App to time each shot.
The moment your opponent strikes their ball, if you are in a position to play your ball, you should start your SHOT CLOCK immediately. No delay!
If you are deemed to have delayed moving directly to your ball or you 'hover' your bag to give yourself more time, your opponent(s) may issue you with a YELLOW CARD. Two YELLOW CARDS equals a RED CARD and a 1-shot penalty.
If you take longer than the permitted 30-seconds to play a shot, you will receive a RED CARD which equals a 1-shot penalty.
Each player has two 2-minute TIME OUTs (per 6-holes) which they can choose to take at any point. This will allow you a little more time for difficult shots, or if you get into trouble and need take more care.
Most importantly – Have FUN!
We want SPRINT6GOLF to be simple and fun, to suit how you like to play golf. Don't get hung up on the rules, adapt them to work for you.
To calculate the handicap allowance, divide a player’s handicap by 18, then multiply by the number of holes to be played (most likely 6). If the resulting figure is not a whole number, strokes received are rounded up only if .5 or above. Each stroke should be taken on the hardest holes played as designated on the course’s regular scorecard (e.g. if a player is to receive 2 strokes in a 6-hole match, they should receive them on the 2 holes with the lowest stroke index out of the 6 holes being played.
